Yummies Kisses Desserts Bakery — Return & Refund Policy
Scope
This policy covers returns, exchanges, cancellations, refunds, and credits for baked goods and related items sold by Yummies Kisses Desserts Bakery, whether bought in-store, online, by phone, or through a third party.
Perishable Goods (general rule)
Because our products are perishable and made to order, most baked goods are final sale. We cannot accept returns of edible items after they have been consumed, altered, or stored improperly.
Eligibility for Refund or Replacement
We will consider a refund, replacement, or store credit if:
- The product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially not as described; AND
- You notify us within 24 hours of receipt/pickup (12 hours for same-day deliveries) with a photo and order details; AND
- The product is preserved and available for inspection if requested.
Procedure to Request a Refund/Replacement
1. Contact us at: 330-354-2908 or yummieskissesdesserts@gmail.com within the stated timeframe.
2. Provide order number, date/time of purchase, product name, description of the issue, and clear photos.
3. We will respond within 48 hours to confirm next steps. If eligible, we will offer one of the following at our discretion:
- Replacement of the item,
- Refund to the original payment method, or
- Store credit equal to the purchase price.
Custom or Special-Order Items
Custom cakes, decorated items, and made-to-order specialty products require final approval of proofs/designs before production. Cancellations or changes:
- More than 72 hours before scheduled pickup/delivery: full refund minus any nonrefundable deposit.
- 48–72 hours before: 50% refund or store credit.
- Less than 48 hours or same-day: no refund (may offer partial credit at management’s discretion).
Cancellations & No-Shows
- In-store purchases: refunds only for defective items per the above eligibility.
- Orders canceled before production begins: refund less any processing fees or nonrefundable deposit.
- No-shows for scheduled pickups without prior notice: may forfeit refund.
Delivery Issues
If an item is damaged in transit or the wrong item is delivered, notify us within 12 hours with photos and delivery details. We will investigate and, if eligible, provide a replacement, refund, or credit.
Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 7–10 business days (processing time may vary by bank). Store credits are valid for 12 months from issue unless otherwise stated.
Health & Safety
For food safety reasons, we may require the return of the item or photos before issuing a refund or replacement. Do not consume items that appear spoiled; keep them refrigerated if appropriate until we advise.
Exceptions
- Clearance, discounted, promotional, or free items are final sale unless defective.
- Gift cards are nonrefundable.
Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable local laws. Contact us first so we can resolve the issue.
